Holiday – Solid Waste & Recycling  

On Friday April 19, 2019 (Good Friday), garbage and recycling collection for the City of Norwalk will follow the regular collection schedule.

The Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent Street, will be OPEN on Friday April 19th and Saturday April 20th, for normal business hours. 

The Yard Debris Site, located at 15 South Smith Street, will be OPEN on Friday April 19th and Saturday April 20th, for normal business hours.

All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass as they enter the Transfer Station & Yard Debris Site.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2018 Norwalk Resident/Beach Pass expired on March 31, 2019. 

Residents are being given a 30-day Grace Period at both the Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site.   

Residents will be required to have a paper copy of the 2019 Resident/Beach Pass by Wednesday May 1, 2019; for cars or SUVs that enter the Norwalk Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site. Even though Norwalk parks and beaches will not require a Resident Pass for entry beginning May 15.

Residents can to the Recreation & Parks Department at City Hall or visit www.norwalkct.org/residentpass  

Norwalk Residents with Pick-up Trucks, Vans, and/or Trailers: The Resident Cards do not need to be renewed. The free tonnage will reset on July 1, 2019.
