YARD WASTE SITE
The Norwalk Yard Waste Site is located at:
15 S. Smith St, Norwalk CT
Monday - Friday: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday: CLOSED
The Scale is closed from 12:00pm - 12:30pm for lunch.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a mask is required at the Norwalk Yard Waste Site.
2022
The Yard Waste Site will be open on Saturday, January 8, 2022 & Saturday, January 15, 2022 (weather dependent) for Christmas Tree and Yard Waste Drop Off.
Saturday, April 2, 2022 is the first Saturday of the Spring Season that the Site will be Open.
Saturday, December 17, 2022 is the last Saturday of 2022 that the Site will be Open.
2022 Holiday Schedule
The Yard Waste Site may CLOSE due to winter weather or at the discretion of the Department of Public Works.
The Yard Waste Site will be CLOSED on the following holidays:

MLK Day: Monday, January 17, 2022
President's Day: Monday, February 21, 2022
Memorial Day: Monday, May 30, 2022
Independence Day: Monday, July 4, 2022

Christmas Eve: Saturday, December 24, 2022
Christmas Day: Sunday, December 25, 2022
Christmas Day Observed: Monday, December 26, 2022
New Year's Eve: Saturday, December 31, 2022

Yard Waste Site Guidelines
All Residential Vehicles are required to have a valid City of Norwalk Disposal Pass or Disposal Permit Card
Any vehicles or people caught dumping without proper permits or when the Yard Waste Site is closed, will be fined and may lose dumping privileges.
All Yard Waste must be brought to Yard Waste Site either loose or bagged.
All containers, except brown leaf bags, MUST BE EMPTIED AND REMOVED FROM THE SITE.
No Leaf Blowers are allowed in the Site.
