Scale is CLOSED for Lunch from approximately 12:00 pm - 12:30PM (Monday - Friday).

Winter (January 2020 to end of March 2020)


Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
Site may CLOSE due to Winter Weather and at the discretion of the Department of Public Works.

The Yard Waste Site will be open on the following Saturdays in January for Christmas Tree Drop-off:
Saturday, January 11, 2020:     7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Saturday, January 18, 2020:     7:30 AM - 2:00 PM


Spring/Summer/Fall (April 2020 to end of December 2020)


Monday - Friday:  7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Saturday:  7:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Sunday:  CLOSED
Saturday, April 4, 2020 is the first Saturday of the Season the Site will be OPEN.

Saturday, December 19, 2020 is the last Saturday of 2020 that the Yard Waste Site will be OPEN.


Yard Waste Site


Last years resident pass expired March 31st.
You must get a new Resident pass before you will be allowed to dump. Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Resident Pass will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher.

Payment by credit card ONLY, cash or checks are not accepted at the Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site.

Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a permit will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher. Proof of residency is required.

Christmas Tree Collection



Residents of the 4th Taxing District, who receive City Garbage Collection will receive Christmas Tree collection during the month of January 2020.
PLEASE NO Decorations, Lights, Stands, etc.
Christmas wreathes will not be collected. 

Trees will be collected twice during the month of January 2020:
  • January 6, 2020 - January 10, 2020
  • January 13, 2020 - January 17, 2020
Please, have trees curbside by 6 AM on the MONDAY of the above collection weeks.
