Commission on the Status of Women

Purposes & Responsibilities

The Commission consists of 11 appointed members, each of whom shall be an elector of the City of Norwalk. Commission members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Common Council and shall serve without compensation to review progress and assist in the elimination of gender-based discrimination and to help improve the status of women in the City of Norwalk.
