Pay at Local Banks
This service was in effect only until February 1, 2021 for the current tax cycle. We hope to be able to offer it again in June, 2021.
When this service is in effect, you may pay your Norwalk property tax bill in person at one of several bank branch locations throughout the city. This service is subject to THE BANK BRANCH'S OWN COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS, AND YOU MUST HAVE YOUR NEW TAX BILL WITH YOU. This service was in effect only until Feb. 1, 2021.
Please check back here for updates in May or June 2021.
You do not have to be a customer of the bank in order to pay there, and there is no fee for using this service.
This service is subject to the bank branches' opening and granting of access to the public. Due to COVID 19 restrictions and directives, some branches may provide only drive through access, or have other limitations.
This service is offered as a convenience to taxpayers who prefer to pay in person, but wish to avoid making the trip to City Hall. Save time and gas by making your payment near where you live and/or work.
The bank collection period ended on February 1, 2021 for the current cycle. If you are eligible for a payment extension, you are still able to pay without interest through APRIL 1, 2021, but you will not be able to pay AT A BANK BRANCH after February 1, 2021.
Taxpayers whose real estate taxes are paid by escrow agents are obliged to pay by February 1, 2021.
